    The MigAward is awarded for special services in the areas of integration and participation of migrants.

    The Mingo Awards 2013 were awarded by Vice Mayor Renate Brauner. The popular awards went to the four most innovative entrepreneurial ideas in the city. Around 500 guests attended the award ceremony in the EMS Lounge.

    The Global Corporation HOERBIGER is the first large firm to settle in aspern Vienna's Urban Lakeside. As of 2016, the 530 employees of the Vienna branch will be working in Aspern. To that end, the company invested 45 million Euros. Since 1931, HOERBIGER has been producing components and systems for compressors in Wien-Simmering.

    From start-ups to major enterprises – in 2013, as before, we support innovative projects of Vienna’s companies in a target-oriented way. All in all, three support initiatives have been running since the beginning of January: the “Service Initiative”, the “Manufacturer Funding Campaign” and the “Koop Pro Vienna”. In total, an amount of 6 million Euros of funding are available for these initiatives.

    Viennese company goes for power

    Master chimneysweeper Rainer Schäffler switches to electricity. As of late, he has been getting around in two electrically powered cars with his team of eight. The purchase was supported by the Vienna Business Agency and the EU. A third environment friendly car will soon join the other two in the company’s garage. The supporting funds for “electric commercial vehicles” can be applied for until 31 December 2013.

    research TUb, a subsidiary of the Technical University Vienna, is the first research institute to have been launched in the technology center aspern IQ.     Mingo, the Vienna Business Agency’s start-up initiative, has been rated as best Austrian Project at the “European Enterprise Promotion Awards 2012“. The EU-wide prize is awarded to initiatives that promote entrepreneurial activities with new and innovative solutions.
