Technology funding

Over the last years Vienna has developed into one of the most prominent technology locations in Europe. The economic future of the city will depend very strongly on the development of the Viennese technology scene. In order to maintain and further develop the quality of Vienna in this field, the city has created a funding organisation for the technology sector: the ZIT centre for innovation and technology GmbH, a subsidiary company of the Vienna Business Agency.

Consultation, funding and support for start-up companies that want to make themselves independent of the surrounding academic field with an innovative idea in the technological or scientific sector is offered by the Universitäre Gründerservice [University Formation Service] established by ZIT and funded by the Vienna Business Agency INiTS [Innovaton into Business].
