Funding for the Creative Industries

The creative economy is one of the economic sectors, which are particularly well represented in Vienna and to which special growth potential is attributed.  This is why the city of Vienna established Europe’s first funding and service site for businesses in the creative economy as early as 2003.

The departure wirtschaft, kunst und kultur gmbh [economy, art and culture departure Ltd] is a subsidiary company of the Vienna Business Agency. Departure is responsible for the handling of the special funding programmes which are tailored to the requirements of the creative economy, and supports the Viennese creative industry in combining creativity with economic usability.
